I don’t really care overly much, frankly. That’s been the problem with our politicians in recent decades. They care too much … about their own careers. I can’t think of more than a few politicians — and I know many of them — who has the courage to represent me in Maine government. Since I love my grandchildren more than life itself I’m left with only one option — continue the campaign for Governor that I started at such great personal cost in 2021.
I ain’t no fool on this April 1, 2023. And that’s why my campaign is not at all foolish, like the ones we’re used to being assaulted by every two years.
I will not be doing any fund raising. You need your money to survive as Jezebel Janet continues to sell Maine to the highest bidder. When I’m elected Governor I will donate my salary to charity and live on social security, if it is still available.
I am starting now to assemble my cabinet. If you have no experience in State Government you may be qualified to serve. Shoot me an email at mheath@althatech.com I will announce my cabinet selections on this website as I make my choices. I look to have my cabinet in place at least a year before the election. This will give the electorate a more complete idea of how I will govern before the people vote.
I will drop out of the race if vote counting uses machines of any kind. The count of paper ballots must be done by hand. And the paper ballots must be accessible to the public for twenty years. There must be NO mail in, or computer based, voting. In person voting only. The only exception is a citizen including with their ballot a printed signed doctors order indicating they are not physically able to get to the voting place on election day.
